When Bryant was six years old his family moved to Italy. Had the family stayed there for good. Kobe would have become a soccer player playing for his favorite team AC Milan. And NBA would have lost a wonderful player in Kobe.
Kobe Bryant is NBA's legendary All-star shooting guard who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers. Bryant rose to national prominence when he made school-boy history by scoring 2883, the highest points in Southeastern Pennsylvania breaking the record of a former St. Joseph's player Carlin Warley {2,441 points} and was straightaway drafted into the NBA. When he made school history, Bryant was chosen by Parade magazine and USA Today as the National High School Player of the Year and was selected to the McDonald's All-America Team. Kobe is a specialist shooting guard and a very good free throw shooter. At times he plays small forward and point guard and is indeed a complete player in NBA having been elected into the All-NBA Teams since 1999 onwards featuring in all the last nine NBA All-star call-ups. A terrific scorer, Kobe Bryant's career average stands at 24.4 points per game, along with 4.5 assists, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game. Known for his ability to shoot from outside Kobe Bryant create shots for himself. He is also the best standout defender who for 6 of the last 7 seasons made the All-Defensive 1st or 2nd Team. Kobe Bryant is considered by many league pundits as one of the most reliable clutch players in the league. |
